Beaver’s is for young people aged 6 – 8 years; we meet on Thursday evenings from 5.30pm – 7.00pm.

Our meetings usually consist of one or two games and a craft activity. In the summer months we try to spend as much time out of doors as possible and the Beavers take part in scouting activities such as tracking, simple knots, and simple cooking on open fires.  We have our own programme with activity and challenge badges for the young people to earn. 

A new part of Beavers for us is sleepovers; this will often be the young person’s first experience of staying away from home in a larger group. We now have a leader authorised to run sleepovers, it is an activity which we would like to do two or three times a year.

Cubs and Scouts together with Explorer Young Leaders and Adult Leaders had a fantastic sleepover aboard HMS Belfast moored on the river Thames.
